Lone Star Park is an 8,000-seat horse racing track offering separate meets for thoroughbred events and Quarter Horse events. Covering more than 300 acres, including enough barn space for 1,600 horses, the park is a major destination for horse racing, and has hosted such notable events as the Breeders Cup. It lies about ten miles west of downtown Arlington, just above Turner Park.
